A complete bank CSV is usually the cleanest source. Convert the PDF when CSV is unavailable, incomplete or outside the needed date range.

  2. Check that only transaction rows were extracted.
  3. Review dates, descriptions, amounts and balances against the PDF.
  4. Download the XLS file and keep the original PDF as the source record.
